Task 2

Point of view - by aperson who witness the horrfied scene of war and the chaos and destruction cause to the innocent people and cities.The poet also make the poem sound very dramatised as the action was inhumane. The setting is at the Vietnam War where America was attacking Vietnam. From "America did not foresee", we could see that America just creates weapon of destruction and use them without knowing whats is the effects, showing that America is very heartless. The evidence "Generations untold WILL pay" show that the poet was very disturb by America actions, feeling sorry for the innocent people in vietnam. He even capatilized 'WILL' which emphasis how the damage will stay for very long affecting the people n veitnam and the poet wanted revenge for the innocent people who lifes where lost or affected.I felt that the war is very horrifying and felt sorry for the people woh life was lost. I also learnt that we should think before we act, or else the consequence will be very bad. America should not just drop toxic bombs onto vietnam as the toxic will last, affecting the other generation, creating a mess there, affecting innocent life which never did anything wrong. Thiey will be traumatized badly and when America realised they were wrong, it will be too late already.

Rainbow Death

America did not foresee
Green, pink, purple and other colors death potpourri!
Expecting others to pay a high price.
Now thinking twice?
Toll on the innocent and unborn.

Omnipotent and disregarding who will mourn.
Reflective about all the illness, birth defects and prematurely dead.
All the deceit continues to spread.
Nefariously America led astray -
Generations untold WILL pay -
Execrable effects of agent orange spray!

Explaination
This small poem speaks of a modern day ingredient of warfare that has caused appalling death and suffering – not only to its intended victims, the Vietnamese people, but also the service personnel that used or even just came into contact with “Agent Orange”.

The rainbow death which Hubert Wilson mentions in his poem refers to the Agent orange. Agent orange was a chemical substance used during the Vietnamese war against Vietnam. Agent orange was a herbicide and defoliant- contaminated with TCDD or Tetrachlorodibenzodioxin). Approximately 4.8million Vietnamese were affected by Agent Orange and which resulted in about 400,000 deaths among the Vietnamese people and many more babies deformed at birth.

From 1962 to 1971, Agent Orange was by far the most widely used of the so-called "Rainbow Herbicides" employed in the herbicidal warfare program. During the production of Agent Orange (as well as Agents Purple, Pink, and Green) dioxins were produced as a contaminant, which have caused numerous health problems for the millions of people who have been exposed. Agents Blue and White were part of the same program but did not contain dioxins.”

Qns: " What do you feel about Tom Robinson trial?"

Jem: " I think that the panel of Judge are not fair. This ain't fair. He never did anything wrong. Why sentence him when he is innocent. He never killed anyone one, why sentence him to a case where he did nothing wrong. Even though he is a coloured person, he never even touch her, yet was falsely accuse of and does not have a chance to clear his name. It just ain't fair."

a) Who would you want to be friends with in the novel? Explain.

Ans: I woukd like to be friends with Dill. I choosed Dill as he have a very imaginative mind and have alot of interesting made-up games which he think on the spot. He haves a lot of ways to make the games interesting for his friends, constantly changing the game, to make it more interesting and fun, thus being with Dill is very enjoyable and fun, where bored this word is no longer existent anymore with Dill, making the whole day fun!

Multiple Intelligence test

My feelings:

I feel that it is to help us to understand our stong points and work on it and also to strenghten our own weak points. This test give me a clear stand for what I am good at and also tells me what kind of person I am. It also gives us a clear view of what we would do in the future. My two strongest points are Intrapersonal and Math-Logic. I feel that Math - Logic is one of my strenght as I think I am not bad with maths. I also can control my feelings and also have a goal setting so being intrapersonal is quite true.

West Zone Volleyball Champs!

Hi there everyone!!!
As from my header, you all should know that my EP3 is volleyball and we had won the west zone championship after 10 years of no results. This is the first time after so many years that we got into finals and we got 1st place. It was very fun and I had a sense of achievement after winning the championship, feeling great for bring a gold back to my school. Hahaha!!!!
